Supported and Facilitated Environments is dedicated to providing the same opportunities for persons with disabilities as their typical peers experience. Mahoning Valley Circle of Friends meets throughout the school year. Our events are in the community to facilitate friendship and build relationship skills essential to help children maintain healthy friendships. We pair children with disabilities with children without disabilities to encourage age appropriate friendships with therapeutic support. Our children without disabilities go through training to learn skills such as patience, leadership, and understanding.Our events also feature parent discussions led by various professionals in the area.
