Ohio Shared Living (OSL), also known as Adult Foster Care, encompasses personal care and supportive services provided to an adult with developmental disabilities by a live-in mentor.  The goal is that the individual and the Mentor form a relationship, and that the individual becomes a meaningful part of their family and active member of the community.  Our carefully screened and selected Mentors are the “heart” of our program.  Essentially, the individual and the Mentor choose each other after a careful and thoughtful screening process!

If you are providing care to a relative in your home, Ohio Shared Living offers the ability to supplement family income while supporting a loved in your home – ensuring they get the care they deserve.

REM Ohio offers a referral bonus!  If you tell someone how they can become a Mentor and they become certified then welcome an individual into their home, you are eligible for the $300 bonus.

If you are interested in becoming a Mentor, please contact Rachael Kahle, Mentor Recruiter at REM Ohio with Ohio Shared Living, at 614-367-1370 ext. 5601 or e-mail: rachael.kahle@thementornetwork.com for more information.
