The Sibling Support Project is a national program dedicated to recognizing siblings of those with a disability and providing support and opportunities to these siblings. SibShops are local support groups for children aged 7-13 who have one or more siblings with a disability. Children play games, meet new people, talk about their experiences, and learn about their sibling’s disability. SibTeen is a similar group designed for teenaged siblings. SibTeen also offers a closed FaceBook page where siblings can connect, chat, and support each other.
*COVID-19 Update: SibShops and SibTeen are on hold until Bridgeway moves into their new building in the 2021-2022 school year.
