Building a Supportive Decision Maker
March 28, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until March 28, 2023
This is a 4 part series and each webinar will build upon the next. We will have breakout groups where we will learn tools to build supported Decision Makers together. Each session will start at 6:30 p.m. and go until 8:00 p.m.
Topics:
• 3/7/23 – Why is it important for all children to confidently make decisions? Research tells us the more self determination a person has, the better their life outcomes. (Supporter only session.)
• 3/14/23 – What does it take to make thoughtful choices? There are steps to making well thought out decisions. The more decisions we make the better we get at it. (Supporter only session.)
• 3/21/23 – How do you begin to help your child make their own choices? We can share information and tools to help supporters hear and lift up the voice of decision makers. (Supporter only session.)
• 3/28/23 – Decisions, Decisions, Decisions: I get a choice! Who is involved in decision-making? The decision-maker (your child, loved one, friend, etc.) and their chosen supporters! (Supporter and Advocate session.)
