This year’s theme is “In the Company of Others”. Each of our presenters will be exploring relationships and their meaning, as well as the impact they may have.

Colleen Mercuri-Johnson
Our keynote speaker has worked with persons with IDD and their support systems for nearly 20 years.  Former Butler County Board of DD Counselor and current operator of Hope Tree Consulting, Colleen speaks nationally on co-occurring mental health and IDD including treatment for problem sexual behaviors, the impact of trauma and the healing power of connection, sexuality and healthy relationship development across the lifespan. She will be speaking to us on building resiliency through connection and contribution through the lens of trauma responsive care.

Steve Beha
As the Family Outreach and Education Coordinator with the Division of Policy and Strategic Direction with the Department of Developmental Disabilities, Steve will be leading a presentation and activity on reciprocity within our system.

Joe Erpenbeck & Tommy Rueff
Our returning hosts will be assisting with facilitating the day and leading our various breakout sessions. Speak Easy Conversations are short, 7 minute stories rotated throughout groups of attendees. The afternoon will be devoted to Open Market Sessions. Attendees will host a 30 minute conversation with the goal to have a group discussion and learning. Not a lecture, but a fresh space to discuss new ideas.
