Quarterly State Community of Practice Meeting
November 16, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
the Nov. 16 quarterly state meeting of the Ohio Supporting Families Community of Practice (CoP), an opportunity to meet, learn, plan, and discuss Ohio’s CoP work that supports all families. We have invited members of the National CoP team and will use their expertise in helping Ohio move forward.
Barbara Brent is the director of state policy of the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS), co-director of National Community of Practice on Supports to Families, and former state director of developmental disabilities for Arizona and Tennessee. She has more than 34 years of experience in publicly funded systems for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Lisa Meyers has worked in the human services field for more than 35 years. She had a grassroots start in the disabilities system by providing direct in-home support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and people in need of emotional health and behavioral health support. Meyers supports states with the implementation of person-centered systems, person-centered thinking (PCT) training, coaching, and plan facilitation.
