Transition Bootcamp 2021 is a virtual conference for family members, caregivers and professionals of youth/young adults with developmental disabilities that provides sessions and information on planning for and facilitating successful transition from school to adult life in the community. Sessions will be held over a 3-day period, January 19-21, 2021, from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm each day. Once registered, attendees will have access to life sessions and the exhibit hall and other features. In addition, attendees will have access to recorded sessions and conference materials for one month after the conference.

Sessions address transition topics, such as being safe in the community; financial planning for a secure future; applying for/using SSI and SSDI; addressing challenging behaviors; planning for employment;  using technology for independence and safety; puberty and sexuality; transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare; supported decision-making, power of attorney and guardianship; and many more topics. Our target audience is family members, caregivers and professionals who provide care and/or work with youth and young adults with developmental disabilities age 13 through 30 years.
