Offers a wide range of programs designed to advance the quality of life for individuals with special needs, not only cerebral palsy. Clinical services include speech, language, and hearing evaluations, rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapies, and sign language classes. Services are available for individuals of all ages.

 

Program services include:

Youth Services

  • Special needs child care classrooms
  • Infant and toddler programs (6 weeks old to 36 months)
  • Preschool/Pre-K program
  • School daycare and full-day summer camp (6 – 17 years old)
  • Latchkey programs
    • Designed to meet the special needs of students with disabilities by providing a nurturing and engaging environment for social interaction and educational experience before, during, and after school

Adult Services

  • Adult day care
    • Focuses on socially engaging activities for adults with developmental or acquired disabilities with a goal of increasing their level of independence and self-advocacy skills
  • Virtual programming sessions
  • Pre-vocational training
    • Prepares individuals for the world of work and is focused on soft skills needed for community employment
  • Employment services
  • Ancillary services
    • Available for individuals who require specialized care such as g-tube feeding, breathing treatments, basic trach care, seizure monitoring and medication administration

Costs:

  • Early intervention services are funded through Federal and State grants
  • Local school districts are required by law to provide free and appropriate education
  • Payment can be made by the family/the individual themselves
  • Funding through Medicaid waivers

 

Current operations during COVID-19

  • They screen staff and clients each day by asking wellness questions and monitor their temperatures
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including masks are available to staff and clients at no cost
  • Staff has undergone extensive disease control health training and are required to wear masks at all times
  • Building space repurposed to assure safe social distancing between clients and staff
  • HEPA filters are installed in childcare classrooms
  • UVC lighting installed throughout HVAC system to destroy germs, viruses and spread of bacteria
  • Vehicles, workspaces, and hallways are sanitized throughout the day
  • Disinfectant foggers are used at the end of each day in common areas
