The Autism Academy of Learning is a year-round, public charter school with programming designed around the needs of students with autism spectrum disorder. The Autism Academy of Learning is structured to provide every student with autism spectrum disorder an appropriate foundation in the areas of academics, behavior, daily living skills, vocational skills and independence. Our goal is to promote a higher quality of life, and the realization of the full intellectual and social development of students with autism spectrum disorder.

The Autism Academy of Learning employs multiple learning styles which are customized to your students needs. We utilize Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Functional Communication Training, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Skills Training, Edmark Reading, Assistive Technologies, Adaptive Aquatics, Occupation and Speech Therapies, and On Site and Community Based Vocational Training Opportunities.

Students at The Autism Academy of Learning have the opportunity to participate in both our on site and off site Vocational Program. When students turn the age of 14, they are eligible to participate. With the on-site program, students are given the opportunity to work on basic daily living and employability skills with our team of Vocational Job Coaches. Students work in a quiet environment on a variety of job related activities. Each student is provided with individualized instruction and accommodated for their various needs. The Vocational Job Coaches take a team of students to the Cornerstone Church where they have the opportunity to use the skills they have learned to assist with upkeep of the church. Within the school year, our Vocational Team plans to expand to program and is looking for different community based opportunities for our students.

The Autism Academy of Learning is a member of the Autism Provider Network of NWO (APN).
