SafeSplash works with a wide range of special needs students and will provide each child with the best swim instruction possible in our warm water, indoor facilities. We are typically able to accommodate a wide range of special needs students including:
- Autism, Asperger’s or related syndromes
- Down Syndrome
- Cerebral Palsy
- Sensory Integration Disorder
- Many others
Most special needs students find our Private or Semi-private lessons to be ideal. Prior to starting lessons, we meet with the family and assess the goals of each student. With the goals and the capabilities of the student in mind, we develop a teaching plan based on the elements of the SafeSplash curriculum that apply. We then identify an appropriate instructor for this plan…another example of the SafeSplash Match®. If desired, lessons can be taught during off-peak times of the day to minimize environmental stress and help enhance the student’s comfort in and around the pool.
SafeSplash works with several third party organizations that support the tuition for special needs students. Please ask us how we can help you and your student work with third parties to manage tuition billing.
